System comparison

Epoxy vs Polyaspartic Flooring

Epoxy and polyaspartic are families of products, not one fixed recipe. Marketing labels matter less than the named products and complete system.

Epoxy strengths

Epoxy can provide strong adhesion, build and decorative versatility. Many systems have longer working times, which supports detailed application, but standard epoxy can yellow under ultraviolet exposure.

Polyaspartic strengths

Polyaspartic products can offer faster cure and improved UV stability. Their shorter working time can also demand tighter application control, and moisture or temperature limits still apply.

Hybrid systems

Many garage systems use epoxy or another base layer with a polyaspartic or polyurethane topcoat. This can combine build and adhesion with faster return-to-service or improved colour stability.

How to compare quotes

Ask for product names, preparation, thickness, coat count, topcoat, cure windows and exclusions. A quote saying only “polyaspartic” or “epoxy” is incomplete.

Project-specific quote

Send floor photos, measurements and intended use.

We assess preparation, repairs, finish and return-to-service requirements before recommending a system.
